Juan Marín, the last signing of Moreno in Cs, will be president of the Economic and Social Council of Andalusia

It will be his return to politics. After the electoral results of the past 19-J caused the expulsion of Ciudadanos from the Andalusian Parliament and, consequently, made the decision to resign as leader of the orange formation, Juan Marín, who was vice president of the regional Executive in the last legislature , returns to work for the leader of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno. In this case, he will do it from the presidency of the Economic and Social Council of Andalusia (CES), dependent on the Ministry of Employment, Business and Labor.

His appointment, which will soon become official, was announced today by ABC and was confirmed by Antonio Sanz, counselor to the Presidency, who has insisted that Marín "will bring to the institution his wisdom, his experience, his capacity and willingness to dialogue" . "He is a person with a way of understanding politics that is always moderate, open to dialogue, and I believe that in the sphere of what economic and social agents represent, he will be a benchmark," he pointed out.

After the absolute victory of Juanma Moreno's PP in the last elections, the president has always shown his intention to have Juan Marín in his team, since he has highlighted on numerous occasions the "loyalty" shown towards him and the coalition. Although the man from Cádiz had publicly rejected the offer and had withdrawn from the focus of the press after announcing his resignation, the presidency of the CES seems to be a position that he wishes to hold for the next few years, becoming the third signing of the popular among the rows of oranges. The first of them was Rocío Blanco, who continues to be an Employment Counsellor; and Rocío Ruiz, member of the Audiovisual Council at the proposal of the PP.

The Economic and Social Council, a consultative body that depends on the Ministry of Employment, Business and Self-Employment, issues reports on decrees and bills of socioeconomic content and there are representatives of businessmen, unions, consumers, the city council and universities. The president of the Economic and Social Council has a four-year term, although it can be extended, as has happened with the current president, the socialist Ángel Gallego, who has held the position since 2012 and will be replaced by Juan Marín.

According to Sanz, this new appointment is part of Moreno's philosophy of "incorporating the best and most prepared" in the Government and in positions of institutional responsibility in the Community, since he has highlighted the "stability" provided by Marín to the "Government of change" in recent years. “He is going to be a positive person” with “ability to face the challenge of strengthening that role of dialogue and cooperation of economic and social agents”, concluded the counselor.
