Jordi Sànchez is committed to redirecting the Government and asks the leadership of Junts to take a position on the consultation

The former general secretary of Junts, Jordi Sànchez, is clear about what he will vote in the consultation that the formation plans to hold between the militancy on October 6 and 7 to decide whether or not to continue in the Govern, but he does not intend to reveal his opinion until the visible faces of Junts speak out personally, something that he sees as “inevitable”. And although he has not wanted to reveal the meaning of his vote, he has understood everything when he has shown confidence that it is still possible to redirect relations between ERC and Junts to continue in the Government.

In statements to La 2 de TVE, the leader has pointed out that redirecting the situation between the partners "is a matter of attitudes", so that "if you have the will, you will always do what is possible" despite "the nuances" that distance ERC and Together. In his opinion, everything is a matter of will, and "wills are built" but, according to Sànchez, the time has come for the partners to look each other in the face and be "honest".

"Let's give ourselves a second chance because if we draw any lesson from 1-O it is that when we work collaboratively, for the same idea, we are unbeatable", Sànchez has summoned. And this lesson is useful both for the parties and for the sovereignist entities, he indicated, after which he has demanded to leave the reproaches as was done around the 2017 referendum, "which was a pro-independence project but thinking of the citizenry as a whole. ”.

Sànchez is in favor of "turning the page on the permanent tensions, the tweets, the verbal aggressions" that have been taking place between the partners in recent months, and in his opinion there is room for continuity, but it requires recovering the spirit of the agreement of government, of which in his opinion it is obvious that some parts are not being fulfilled, and that is based on the "understanding". "We must forcefully recover" this spirit, because without this idea "few things will be possible to exercise self-determination," he warned.

In fact, Sànchez has demanded "not overestimate the crises" and has urged the partners of the Government to decide separately what they want to do, warning, yes, that "if we want to work to win self-determination, there is a unique formula: put ourselves agree”, because “if we don't agree, with what force will we agree with the State?”, he questioned.

Sànchez, who is no longer part of the Junts executive, has commented that he will not make his vote public in next week's consultation until the leadership of his party does. “I will accompany the decisions of the executive”, he has commented, but “I am clear what I will vote for”. Supporter of the visible faces of Junts positioning themselves, the former leader has commented that "it will be inevitable" that they do so, but he does not believe that the result of the vote, if it is very tight, will cause an internal crisis in the party that will cause a split.
