Joan Josep Nuet joins the Government as director general of Institutional Relations

Some enter and others leave. After the departure of Junts, the Government alone of ERC continues with the appointments of similar profiles for positions of responsibility, which forces the dismissal of the previous managers.

On Tuesday, the Government appointed Joan Josep Nuet as the new General Director of Institutional Relations and Parliament. Nuet was first a leader of Esquerra Unida i Alternativa (EUiA) and later a deputy for the commons in Parliament, where he served as secretary of the Bureau, later joining the ranks of ERC, a party for which he was a deputy in Congress.

In the statement made public after the meeting of the Consell Executiu, other appointments also appear, such as that of Oriol Güell as president of Infrastructures of the Generalitat, a position in which he replaces the former Minister of the Interior of Junts Miquel Buch.

However, another ex-deputy of Junts en Parlament, Josep Maria Forné, joins as director of the Catalan Institute of Fostering and Adoption, so the Government of Pere Aragonès continues in the line of signing figures from other espacios politicos evidenced with councilors Quim Nadal (former member of the PSC and councilor of the tripartite party), Carles Campuzano (former director of CDC and deputy in Congress) and Gemma Ubasart (in the initial orbit of Podemos).

In addition, the Government, with a meager parliamentary support of 33 seats, has also recently opened up to ex-militants of the CUP, and Mireia Boya was appointed director general of Climate Change in the Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda, which leads Teresa Jordan

Other Government appointments are that of Gina Tost as Secretary of Digital Policies; Anna Chillida as general director of the Alumnat; Lluís Torrens as Secretary of Social Affairs and Families; Xavier Godàs as director general of Civic and Community Action, and Mariona Homs as director general of Social Services.

On the other hand, former ERC deputy Rut Ribas has also been appointed general director of Youth; Núria Valls, Secretary of Children, Adolescence and Youth; Laia Girós, general director of the Catalan Youth Agency, and Marta Álvarez, director of Services of the Ministry of Health, while Miriam Moysset will be the director of the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia.
