Isla Perdida will be reorganized with urban cycling as a mainstay

Would you be able to develop a municipality with total freedom to do whatever you want? The urban planners in charge of equipping the Isla Perdida, a town within Gran Canaria, will face this challenge.

From now on, a new phase opens to agree with the residents and owners on another urban planning adapted to the new criteria addressed in the meetings held with the residents of Isla Perdida and to the criteria of environmental sustainability and everything points to the fact that the bicycle will have a important weight in this new urban plan.

The proposal for the redevelopment of the area, which has been evaluated with the residents, foresees the creation of a green belt around the entire perimeter, which will allow the residential area to be isolated from the flow of traffic in the area, in addition to accompanying it with an exclusive space for bicycles that make room for the forest mass and improve the quality of life in the area.

Every day there are more places in Spain that decide to bet on urban cycling as a way of making the movements of their citizens more sustainable. Isla Perdida, without previous infrastructure, has also chosen the bicycle path.
