Isco Alarcón signs for Unión Berlin

The signing of Isco Alarcón by Unión Berlin has surprised the world of football. The man from Malaga was without a team after Sevilla terminated his contract on December 21 four months after his signing. At 30, the footballer developed most of his career at Real Madrid, and has accumulated five Champions League.

For the first time the footballer will play outside of Spain, and will do so in the Bundesliga revelation team. Unión Berlin rose to the highest category of German football in 2019, and is now second in the standings, just one point behind the leader, Bayern. In addition, they have serious chances of fighting for Champions League places, and they will face Ajax in the round of 32 of the Europa League after finishing second in the group.

In his new team they are already waiting for you with open arms. So much so that the captain, Christopher Trimmel, dedicated the victory in the derby against Hertha to him through a post on his Instagram account: "This victory is for you, Isco."

Before making the decision, Isco excited part of the Malaguismo by changing his Instagram profile photo to one in which he was wearing the shirt of the Andalusian team, for which he played for two seasons.

However, their final destination will be the second team from the city of Berlin. The German team was seventh in their first season in the elite, fifth in the second, and now they are second after adding three consecutive victories and surpassing greats such as Borussia Dortmund or Leipzig in the standings.

The former player of Valencia, Malaga, Real Madrid and Seville arrives in Germany far from his best version. He lost prominence in his last years at the white club, and although with the arrival of Lopetegui he regained his enthusiasm, it was not for long, since after the departure of the Basque coach, Solari put him back on the bench.

At Sevilla Isco met up again with Lopetegui, the coach who had placed so much trust in him. However, things did not go well, and after the dismissal of the coach and a heated discussion with Monchi, Sevilla's sports director, the man from Benalmádena was left without a team.

Now the footballer from Malaga will seek to enjoy football again and leave behind the last few years that have weighed down his career.
