Inheritances: "Never leave a property to distribute to your children"

One of the aspects of life that generates the most conflicts is inheritance. In many cases, the distribution of the assets of a deceased person ends up in a family dispute; in others, the acceptance of an inheritance is a poisoned dart for the finances of the recipient. "A lady had to pay the debts of the murderer of her daughter," the inheritance expert Alejandro Ebrat Picart, the guest of this new episode of the "Pocket" podcast, gives as an example.

The lawyer, author of the book Herencias Felices (Ediciones Deusto), explains in a simple and entertaining way the legal formulas to save trouble and money in this matter. In addition, he warns about the most common mistakes when passing on an economic legacy, such as leaving everything to your spouse or donating it to your children while you are alive. And if you have two or more descendants, "never leave them a property to share", he warns him.
