Mosquitoes take advantage of small puddles in containers such as jugs, buckets, pots or toys to lay their larvae. Therefore, the main prevention measure is to avoid the accumulation of water in patios, terraces or gardens.
The “A casa teva” campaign helps locate these possible breeding sites and informs about the measures that must be taken to avoid them. It started in May and will last until October.

More mosquito controls in public spaces until November
The risk areas for mosquito proliferation in public spaces have been expanded from 82 to 100, and surveillance has been intensified.
During 2022, activity of these insects was detected in 1% of the more than 50,000 points reviewed.
