Income 2021-2022: How to request an appointment from today and make the declaration in person

The 2021 income campaign burns new stages. Almost entering the last month, as of this Thursday it will be possible to request an appointment to be attended at the offices of the Tax Agency and its network of collaborating centers. Thus, the taxpayer will be able to count on the help of an official to prepare his IPRF declaration and settle the procedure with the Treasury, with a margin until June 30.

Before launching to look for dates, it must be taken into account that taxpayer declarations with work income of more than 65,000 euros and movable capital that exceeds 15,000 euros are not made; when more than two properties are leased -or two contracts are made- or tourist flats are rented on platforms; in professional or business activities in direct estimation; when there is a transfer of more than two properties or shares of more than two issuers; or if in 2021 assets acquired by inheritance or donation have been transferred.

To access the prior appointment request, you must enter the Income 2021 portal of the Tax Agency and click on the option "Revenue Appointment". To complete the process and choose a date and place, the taxpayer will have to identify himself with his electronic DNI/NIE, certificate, Cl@ve or reference number.

As an alternative, it can be done from the "Tax Agency" app or by phone, by calling 91 553 00 71 or 901 22 33 44 from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

When a date is set, if a mobile phone has been provided, an SMS will be received with the details of the day, centre, time and a link to the necessary documentation. An email can also be received if this information is given.

Appointments will be set for June 1 onwards, with June 30 as the last day with face-to-face attention. In turn, June 29 will be the last day to request an appointment.

When attending the appointment, certain data and documents must be brought: original ID and a photocopy of the ID of the person who appears on the declaration; IBAN number of the bank account; cadastral references of the properties owned or rented or other circumstances and an authorization signed by other declarants where it is allowed to make the declaration on their behalf.

If you have work income, you must bring the withholding certificate issued by the payer; if there are returns on real estate capital, proof of income -contracts- and expenses -invoices- for rentals; if there are returns on movable capital, the transfer certificates of financial assets; in the case of gains and losses from the sale of a home, the deed of purchase and sale and the declarations of previous years where the deduction for the transferred home was made, among other assumptions.

To them are added the supporting documents that can show that you are entitled to regional deductions or other tax benefits. For example, donation receipts, rent payments and the landlord's NIF, insurance receipts if you have a mortgage...

At most, a taxpayer can request two previous appointments, where those arranged and canceled are not counted. An appointment can be modified or canceled as often as needed.

If finally you cannot go, the Tax Agency requests that the appointments arranged be canceled at least 24 hours in advance. "This way it will be available for another taxpayer who may need it," they explain from the Tax Agency. To do this, you have to re-enter the data as if you wanted to request an appointment and when skipping the one assigned to you, give the option to cancel.
