No less than approximately 600 kilos of meat and fish products from other countries have been requisitioned by the National Police as they have expired and are in unsanitary conditions, but whose objective was to sell them in different stores throughout the central district of Madrid.

Specifically, a man has been arrested, allegedly responsible for a crime against public health, and an establishment has been closed, where the merchandise was kept in freezers for later sale.

The investigation began, according to the National Police, after a telephone call, which indicated the location of several establishments where this type of product was imported and sold.

After several investigations, the agents realized that these products were sold to the public in more than six foreign food establishments and four of them with a lot of influx, which put the health of buyers of this type of food at risk.

In the investigation, the National Police, the Municipal Police and the Health Service of the Central District of the Madrid City Council have worked together.
