Illa prepares the PSC to "move from inertia to action" before the next electoral appointments

The first secretary of the PSC and leader of the opposition in Catalonia, Salvador Illa, is convinced that his party will play a "very important" role, even a "key" one, in the future of Catalonia, both for its role in the Catalan budgets, which still negotiate with the Government, as in the upcoming municipal elections in May, where the Socialists have great expectations. And to undertake these companies, he has proposed to mobilize his troops, to "move from inertia to action."

This has been expressed by Illa in a letter to the militancy sent this Friday. In it, the leader of the "quiet force determined to look at all of Catalonia and not just a part", he defines, emphasizes the immediate political objectives of his party. It is about "moving Catalonia forward" by encouraging potential, capacity, ambition, prestige and "everything that has allowed Catalonia to continue standing despite the difficulties," he points out.

These are objectives that happen, as mentioned in the letter, by "working seriously so that Catalonia has good budgets" capable of generating "economic prosperity and protecting people." In this way, Illa justifies before the militants the budget negotiation in which he is immersed with the Government, and exhibits the most demanding profile of him in the face of the weakness of the Executive of Pere Aragonès, assuring that he negotiates "with papers, with numbers, and method ".

In battle mode before the next electoral contest, the leader of the PSC also calls on his followers to make "an effort" to try to "lead in our towns and cities a stage of progress, shared prosperity, justice, feminism and ecology".

Illa highlights the strength of the companies, the industrial, academic, cultural, association and municipal fabric of Catalonia, which "have rebelled against inertia and have said enough to the paralysis", he assures, referring to the years of the ' procés'. And these sectors serve as an example to encourage socialist militancy to "move from inertia to action" before the municipal elections in May, for which he claims the role of mayors and councilors from his party.

As he acknowledges, they are "the ones who have ensured that Catalonia does not stop working" in times of difficulty, "building the country from below", being "at the forefront", "many times without the help of the Government of the Generalitat" and In some cases, he reproaches, "with his hostility."
