Fans of the Hunger Games saga will have to wait a few months before being able to see the new film Ballad of Songbirds and Serpents, announced a few weeks ago by the production company Lionsgate. The prequel takes place several decades before the adventures of Katniss Everdeen ¬–character played by Jennifer Lawrence, who will not appear on screen this time. It will be released on November 17, 2023 and the details of the film are not yet known as it is still in the production phase.

One of the film's confirmed actresses is the young Hunter Schafer, known mainly for her role in the HBO series Euphoria. Schafer will play Tigris Snow, Coriolanus Snow's cousin and confidant. The film will chronicle the rise of Snow, played by Tom Blyth, as the leader of Panem. Rachel Zegler will play Lucy Gray Baird in this fifth installment of the saga.

At just 20 years old, the actress amasses more than 7 million followers on social networks and has become a benchmark in the fight for the rights of transgender people. At age 12, Schafer realized that she had been mistakenly born into a man's body, so she decided to initiate her transition. In the Euphoria series, she plays Jules, a young transgender woman who has a romantic relationship with Rue -played by Zendaya-.
