How to get the Valencian Community Travel Voucher 2023

The Generalitat Valenciana has opened this Tuesday the period to request the 2023 Travel Voucher, an initiative that will benefit a total of 160,000 people. The initiative has been a success, as 150,000 requests for appointments have been received in just one day.

The next edition has started today and will be in force, uninterruptedly, until 10 am on November 30 of next year. Its entry into force leaves without effect the waiting list of the previous program, the one referring to 2022.

In order to access the program, you must first go through a request for a prior appointment that does not require an electronic signature. Then you have to register, which does require an electronic certificate and electronic signature and where it is necessary to attach the certificate of registration in the Valencian Community.

The Generalitat Valenciana has explained that the order of people enrolled in the program is determined by the date of request for a prior appointment, and that only one application per person is allowed. Likewise, the beneficiaries must be up to date with their tax obligations and before the Social Security.

Once the two-step registration is completed and the documentation is reviewed, a permanent fixed position will be assigned on the promotional code waiting list. This code is what allows the reservation to be made, formalized by the member company in which it has been made, receive confirmation of the aid and with it the voucher that authorizes use of the tourist services subsidized by the program. Once your Voucher Voucher promotional code has been assigned, you will have 10 business days to formalize your reservation at any of the tourist establishments adhering to the initiative.

The intensity of the aid will be 60% of the cost of the contracted tourist services, regardless of short or long stay, but with a minimum stay of two consecutive nights in the same tourist accommodation, and up to a maximum of 600 euros per aid. granted.

In addition to accommodation, the beneficiaries of the 2023 Travel Voucher will be able to add to their reservation other complementary services that will also have the bonus, such as meals, health and wellness treatments; sport activities; excursions and entertainment activities, and parking.

The two travel periods will be on the one hand, from January 16 to May 31, 2023 and, on the other, from September 18 to December 22, 2023.

From January to now, 51,964 reservations have been registered, of which 2,484 are for this Christmas, concentrating from December 15 to 23, the date on which this edition ends. "Since the beginning of the year, the 2022 Travel Voucher has mobilized more than 26.6 million euros in the tourism sector of the Valencian Community out of high season, with Benidorm, Calp, Valencia, Finestrat and Peñíscola being the most demanded destinations", has said Francesc Colomer, regional secretary of Tourism.

In addition, the average amount of reservations made in the program throughout 2022 has been 513.7 euros and the average stay registered has been 2.6 nights. "This program constitutes a stimulus policy that we want to consolidate, since it has allowed to reactivate the demand of the Valencians in the territory itself and strengthen the recovery of a sector that is key in the economy of our society", he stressed.

The head of Turisme has highlighted that the initiative has had "a great impact" since its launch in October 2020, both by the sector, with more than 1,000 member companies; as well as by the users, since there are already more than 265,000 Valencians who have benefited from this aid since then.
