How rain changes the landscape in one day

This photograph in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia is taken in the municipality of Castellví de la Marca, in Alt Penedès, in the area called El Castellot.

The image reflects the clouds after having left a significant downpour, illuminated by the sun. Two days ago the landscape was a wasteland derived from the severe drought.

Specifically, at this point in Penedès, in the first ten months of this year, only 98 liters had fallen when the average is about 480 liters.

Castellot is a mountain 464 meters high. The 10th century tower located there was restored in 2021. And at the top there is a geodesic vertex.

After the last rain, according to Meteocat, cloudiness will decrease from west to east until the sky is clear or slightly cloudy in the southern half of Catalonia, and slightly to partly cloudy in the rest. Only a few showers are expected in the Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees.
