Heavy rains will persist in the northwest and south of the peninsula this Monday

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) anticipates cloudy skies with precipitation and some storms in a good part of the peninsula, except in the extreme northeast and in the Balearic Islands, where it will be clear or with some cloudy intervals but without precipitation.

The rains will be more likely and intense in areas of the center, Andalusia and the extreme northwest, where they may be locally strong or persistent, especially in the early morning, but in general they will tend to decrease throughout the day.

The wind will blow from the east in the Levante and Balearic Islands, with strong intervals at dawn; from the west on the coasts of the south of the peninsula; and of southern component in the rest, except in the Bay of Biscay and the Canary Islands, where it will be of variable direction.
