Health specialists highlight in Lleida the need to improve early detection of lung cancer

This Friday in Lleida, health and medical research professionals highlighted the need to improve the early detection of lung cancer, one of the most common and deadly in men and, in recent years, also in women.

They did so within the framework of the second 'Lo Pulmó' congress, held in the Cappont auditorium of the University of Lleida (UdL), and which is dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of this disease in the initial stages, with a focus especially in patients.

Among other topics, participants discussed the use of artificial intelligence in cancer diagnosis, treatments with targeted therapies, and the importance of cancer patients practicing physical exercise and receiving emotional support.
