The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested a 19-year-old individual early this Thursday morning inside a sports store who he had robbed by entering through the window glass, after throwing a manhole cover. He was arrested while trying on clothes and shoes in the warehouse.
The police were alerted to an alarm in a sports store in Pineda de Mar shortly before six in the morning. Once they arrived at the scene, the agents entered the establishment and found the young man inside while he was trying on clothes and shoes, after destroying the window and the alarm.
The Mossos suspect that the detainee could be the author of other robberies with the same system of throwing manhole covers against the shop window. This same morning, according to Ràdio Pineda, another robbery occurred in a dog grooming salon in the center of the town.
