Have you seen the old mill in the Sau reservoir?

A sad image, you can already see the tower of the old Sau mill, which is located on the left side of the dam downstream from the church of Sant Romà.

As can be seen in this photograph in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia, the tower of the old mill is well preserved.

Unfortunately this image is not good news, it would be best if it rained and we didn't get to see the lock that was in the mill.

This beautiful area of the Ter river, on its way through Les Guilleries and the region of Osona, with the persistent lack of water saddens and worries.

The reservoir, inaugurated in 1962, covered the town of Sant Romà de Sau, the remains of which, especially the church bell tower, are visible when the dammed water level is low.

This reservoir is part of a system of three swamps (along with those of Susqueda and Pasteral) that unites the counties of Osona, in the province of Barcelona, and La Selva, in the province of Girona.
