Àgueda Micó is running as head of the Compromís-Sumar list at the Congress for Valencia

The general secretary of Més and co-spokesperson of Compromís, Àgueda Micó, has shown this Saturday her intention to run as head of the list of Compromís-Sumar in the Congress for the province of Valencia, as sources from her environment have confirmed to Europa Press.

Micó has made this announcement in the National Council of Més, after this Friday Compromís will close with Sumar the agreement to converge in the general elections of 23J, with its own brand (Compromís-Sumar: Sumem per Guanyar), Valencian agenda, reserved positions on the lists in Congress and the Senate and the objective of forming its own group in the Lower House.

After this pact, closed a few hours before the deadline to register electoral coalitions, Més and Iniciativa will hold primaries during the next week to choose their representatives on the lists.

Hours later, the three formations that make up Compromís endorsed with a large majority the agreement reached with Sumar to run in coalition in the general elections. The three legs of the formation, Més, Iniciativa and VerdsEquo gave support of more than 80%.

Also this Friday, the councilor for Compromís in Valencia Pere Fuset, who had considered running to head the Compromís-Sumar list for the province of Valencia, was finally ruled out for this position and stressed that the party needs "especially female leadership". The mayor assured that in Compromís there is "a very good staff for this space" and considered that his site is "in Valencia".

The agreement between Compromís and Sumar states that in the candidacies for the Congress for Valencia, numbers 1 and 2 will be for Compromís, while Alicante number 1 will be for Sumar and Castellón number 1 will be an independent name chosen by consensus by both parties. In the rest of the lists, the even numbers will go to Compromís and the odd ones to Add.

The candidacies for the Senate will be reversed: the number 1 for Valencia for Sumar and the 1 for Alicante and Castellón for Compromís. In the rest of the lists, the odd numbers will be from Compromís and the even numbers from Add.
