Green or blue?: Begoña Gómez makes an impact in Granada with an optical effect dress

The city of Granada is currently hosting the Summit of the European Political Community, which has the participation of 47 leaders. This Thursday, Spain, as host, organized a visit to the Alhambra that was attended by the Kings of Spain, as well as the acting president, Pedro Sánchez, and his wife, Begoña Gómez.

For the occasion, Queen Letizia recovered a dress from Carolina Herrera's fall-winter 2017/18 collection that premiered in June 2018. A design consisting of a black halter-neck top with transparencies that was modified by protocol and an elegant skirt ruffled with black flowers that provided a romantic touch.

Begoña Gómez's look also stood out, surprising with a sophisticated optical effect design. Depending on how the light hit it, the dress made by Marcos Luengo, her trusted designer, looked like it was blue, but at other times her tone seemed closer to green, which caused a curious effect. The truth is that, as the dressmaker explains to Vanitatis, her dress was emerald green.

A piece created in double silk satin that had a fitted bodice, with a square neckline and thin straps, and a midi-length skirt with longitudinal cuts that opened from the waist to obtain that flattering flare.

Sánchez's wife completed her style with nude suede pumps that gave prominence to the design and her now characteristic blonde hair with bangs. What caught her attention was her commitment to not wearing large jewelry, but rather she preferred very minimalist earrings and did not wear bracelets or a necklace. She also opted for natural makeup.

Gómez has opted on many occasions for the designs of the Asturian, her favorite designer since her husband arrived at Moncloa. The designer has managed to stick to Begoña's minimalist tastes, who opts for designs with very simple and classic lines.
