The president of CaixaBank, José Ignacio Goirigolzarri, received a remuneration of 2.13 million euros in 2022, while the bank's CEO, Gonzalo Gortázar, received 3.94 million euros. This was reported yesterday by the financial entity to the (CNMV).
Goigolzarri's total remuneration is not strictly comparable to the previous year -when he received 1.69 million-, given that in 2021 he went from being Chairman of Bankia, at the beginning of the year, to Chairman of CaixaBank, as of April 2021. that year, as a result of the merger between the two entities. Of the total amount accrued by the president of the bank in 2022, a total of 1.65 million euros correspond to fixed remuneration, 383,000 euros to variable and 103,000 euros to other concepts (basically health insurance and personal insurance premiums). life).
As for Gortázar, in 2021 he received 3.89 million, so his salary has grown by 1.28%. Of this total remuneration, 2.26 million correspond to fixed remuneration, which has remained unchanged in the last four years, while 1.08 million correspond to variable remuneration. In addition, it has a contribution of 514,000 euros to the long-term savings system and another 78,000 euros in other concepts. With a view to 2023, the board of directors will propose a 5% increase in the remuneration of Goirigolzarri and Gortázar.
