Gavira assures that neither Vox “has dug its grave” in Andalusia nor Olona will disengage from the South

Nor does he consider that Vox has failed in Andalusia, despite acknowledging that his formation has not obtained the expected representation, nor will Macarena Olona, his candidate for San Telmo, disassociate himself from the ultra-nationalist project in the South. This is how resounding Manuel Gavira, who was the spokesman in Parliament for Abascal's party, has shown himself today. "Hearing that Vox has dug its grave" in the region, "when it has risen in votes, it is quite the opposite", he has defended, without hiding that "we have been far from the will we had", he commented.

On the other hand, he has insisted that Olona will establish his address in Seville, the city in which he is looking for a school for his son.

The far-right party handled other data during the campaign, however, after the vote count of last 19-J, it has managed to scratch only two more seats with respect to those obtained in the 2018 elections. In total, Vox will occupy 14 seats in the Andalusian Chamber, one of which will be held by Olona from Alicante, Abascal's bet with which they understood that they were going to generate an earthquake in Andalusia, becoming part of the next government. But Juanma Moreno, the leader of the PP-A, prevailed as the clear winner on election night by winning up to 58 seats (the cutoff for the absolute majority in Parliament is 55), reducing this possibility to nothing.

Those of Vox expected greater representation, especially in those rural areas where they have turned their campaign. However, in points as significant as El Ejido, in Almería, where they focused their speech on linking insecurity and immigration, the PP has managed to double citizen support, becoming the first political force ahead of those of Abascal, who remain as the second most voted party. The same trend is maintained throughout the Almeria province.

Andalusia has been dyed blue, even in traditionally socialist provinces, such as Seville, where Juanma Moreno has achieved majority support. In total, 58 seats have been obtained by the PP and twice as many votes (1.5 million) than in the 2018 elections.

Those of Vox have collected 100,000 more votes in these elections compared to the previous elections and two extra seats, data far from the expectations they had, although they consider that the formation is far from collapsing. "It is clear that it was not the result we expected, but we respect, how could it be otherwise, what the Andalusians have decided", acknowledged the head of the Vox list for Cádiz in the 19J elections, who pointed out that "the resounding The winner has been the PP, it is beyond any doubt" but he has also highlighted that "the other party that has risen has been Vox", despite the fact that "we knew data that spoke of a remarkable growth that has not come true".

At the moment, according to Gavira, there will be no substantial changes in the match despite the fact that the 'Olona effect' has deflated. The political controversy will not be disassociated from the South where she will exercise opposition to the government, she has insisted, since she has recalled that she "has said a hundred times in a hundred different ways that her commitment to Andalusia is beyond doubt" and has recalled that she has already He explained that he will look for "a house in Seville and a school for the little one".

"I don't know what else he has to say to put an end to that runrún of if he returns to Madrid", he added after stressing that he has been reiterating his will to "stay here for the entire legislature, but if they ask him what will happen in two years because neither she nor anyone else knows."
