Garamendi rejects criticism for his salary: "It's like saying in a rape that he was in a miniskirt"

The president of the CEOE employers' association, Antonio Garamendi, has assured this Wednesday that the criticism of his remuneration is part of a discredit campaign against businessmen and has compared it to "when they say that there is a rape and the girl was in a miniskirt".

In statements on Antena3, Garamendi has dismissed as false that his remuneration "has risen by 50,000 euros" and has stressed that the CEOE is a private entity and that the decision on his salary is a private decision and approved "in freedom" by the board directive.

"This week it was my turn," added the employers' leader, who framed what happened in a smear campaign against businessmen.

"Excuse me for making an example: this is like when they say there is a rape and the girl was in a miniskirt (...) I do not accept an octopus as a pet," he added.
