Game of reflexes of the fishing villages of Banyoles

I share in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia these snapshots taken in Banyoles, in the Pla de l'Estany region, on a splendid spring morning, while surrounding part of the lake.

We can appreciate three of the 20 existing fishing grounds and their reflections, always photogenic on the calm waters of the lake.

The fisheries date from the 19th and 20th centuries, they are located on the eastern shore of the lake. They are constructions, all of them unique, as can be seen in the images. Each one has its own personal charm.

At first it was very simple wooden buildings, small in size, closed with a fence and that entered the lake through a walkway to fish.

Later, some became more sophisticated, as a sign of the social reaffirmation of the owners. They are currently for private use, although they have been declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest.

The City Council prohibited new construction in 1931. As can be seen, they further enhance the beauty of the lake.
