Gabriel Jesus goes to Arsenal and City sign Kalvin Phillips

Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus, 25, signed for Arsenal on Monday from Manchester City, which in turn has confirmed the signing of British midfielder Kalvin Phillips, according to English media after paying approximately 50 million euros to Leeds.

The Englishman, who with the Elland Road team scored 14 goals and distributed the same assists in 235 games, signs for the cityzens until 2028. "Being able to play for Pep (Guardiola) and learn from him and his technical team, as well as being able to Being part of a squad with these characteristics is what satisfies me the most," Phillips, 26, said in statements provided by the Manchester team.

For practically the same amount as Phillips, Arsenal has acquired the services of the hitherto cityzen striker Gabriel Jesus. "I was happy from the first day I found out I would play for Arsenal. It's a great club," the Brazilian, who under Guardiola's orders scored 95 goals in 236 games, told the Gunner club media.

The player from São Paulo will wear number '9' at Arsenal. “We are delighted to have signed Gabriel. Anyone who knows football knows his qualities. He is a player that we have admired for a long time", said the technical director Edu Gaspar, some praise that was added to that of his new coach, Mikel Arteta: "The club has done a great job to incorporate a player of this stature ".
