Agents of the Valencia Civil Guard and the Silla Local Police have rescued an elderly woman who was in a house where a fire had broken out. As a consequence of the action, the two members of the Civil Guard, as well as the two from the Local Police, had to be assisted at the Silla Health Center due to the effects of inhalation of toxic smoke, and are currently in perfect health.
According to the Benemérita, the agents of this body, while carrying out crime prevention work, observed from the official vehicle how some flames and dense black smoke came out of the balcony of a building located in the town of the town of Silla and found that a woman was requesting help from the balcony.
The patrol immediately appeared at the scene, where a Local Police patrol was already present. It was then that they decided to act together to enter the property to help the old woman.
Once inside, despite the large amount of smoke, the four agents managed to evacuate the woman, the only inhabitant at that time in the house.
Subsequently, they tried to control the fire that had started in the dryer located in the kitchen of the home by using portable fire extinguishers. To do this, the troops carried out numerous relays during the work of controlling the flames, given the existing dense curtain of toxic smoke.
Thanks to their "quick intervention", they managed to prevent the fire from spreading to the rest of the property or other homes. The flames were finally extinguished after the action of three fire departments, belonging to the consortiums of Silla, Catarroja and Torrent, who arrived at the scene a few minutes later, the Armed Institute explained in a statement.
