Five casualties in France's training two days before the World Cup final

Raphael Varane and Ibrahima Konaté join the wave of patients with fever that already affects five players of the French team. Kingsley Coman remained on the sidelines of the group on Thursday a day after having symptoms due to a virus that affected Dayot Upamecano and Adrien Rabiot before the semifinal against Morocco on Wednesday.

The first was on the bench, recovered from the fever process, although he did not play due to being somewhat out of shape, according to the coach, Didier Deschamps. As for Rabiot, he did not even go to the stadium and the next day he trained apart from the rest of his teammates.

France has at all times denied that it is a covid outbreak, although it has increased prudent gestures within the concentration to avoid further contagion. The French Football Federation has imposed the mandatory mask in the mixed zones and has tightened its sanitary measures two days before the final against Argentina.

Deschamps indicated that it is a fever linked to the cold, due to the air conditioning and the drop in temperatures in Doha in recent days.

According to RMC Sport, both felt unwell this Friday and their presence in training this afternoon, at Al-Sadd Stadium, is unknown. However, in the French team, for the moment, there is no concern regarding the presence of the two central defenders in the final on Sunday.

Five players with the blues did not train this Friday: Konaté, Varane, Coman, in addition to Aurélien Tchouaméni, Theo Hernández, who did specific work in the gym.
