The five men arrested in Tudela (Navarra) for an alleged group sexual assault on a woman on Saturday night went to court this Tuesday.
The Tudela Municipal Police arrested the alleged attackers this Sunday after sharing the investigation with the Provincial Police and after the victim filed a complaint for the events, which would have happened on the night of Saturday to Sunday.
The mayor of Tudela, Alejandro Toquero, has condemned the events "without palliatives" in a message on social networks.
"Women are untouchable if they do not express the contrary. Let my position be clear. I condemn without palliatives the sexual assault committed this weekend in Tudela and I convey to the victim all my personal support and as mayor", he pointed out in his social network account X (formerly Twitter).
Likewise, he has invited to participate this Tuesday in the concentration that will take place at the door of the City Hall, at 12:00 p.m., "to say very clearly that in Tudela we reject this type of atrocities, we respect the privacy of the victims and we cover them ". The regional government will also be present at this concentration.
