First large demonstration called against the irrigation law in Doñana on May 14 in Seville

The groups and entities that make up the Salvemos Doñana Platform have called an act of protest against the proposed Law to reorder the irrigation of the North Crown of the natural space for May 14 in Seville.

As reported by the platform through its Twitter profile, the objective of this action is to put, from the citizenry, "a voice to Doñana", on the basis that "only the well-being of the protected area can guarantee a social, economic future and environmental fair for the region".

Predictably, many groups will join this initiative and make the first large demonstration called to protest against this initiative launched by the PP and Vox a success.

So far, Adelante Andalucía has already published the call on its networks and calls to attend the appointment. "We do not want one of our Jewels to be destroyed by the incompetence and interests of a few," they say on Twitter.

Verdes Equo de Huelva has also stated that they will be in the Andalusian capital on May 14 to "remedy the serious deterioration suffered by the natural park."

In addition to this protest, which is expected to be massive and which will end with the reading of a manifesto, information and debate events have begun in Huelva and the province and meetings with political, trade union, cultural and scientific organizations.

The Platform, which already in 2016 opposed the gas storage project in the Doñana subsoil, announced yesterday that it was resuming its activity due to said bill that it described as "nonsense".

"We will demand another way of doing things, with participation, debate and consensus, with a vision of integrating work for Doñana and that the agricultural economic activity of good practices has a place with other activities", the platform has indicated.
