Fiat will manufacture its new Doblò model in Vigo, including the electric version

Fiat has indicated in a statement that it will manufacture its fifth generation of the Fiat Doblò van and its electric version E-Doblò in Vigo. Production will take place at the Stellantis plant, where vehicles in the same segment are already manufactured, such as the Peugeot Partner van and the Citroën Berlingo.

Before the award of this new model was made official, Stellantis had announced that it planned to invest 600 million euros in the Vigo plant if the Government approved the project that it had presented in Perte for the electric and connected vehicle. This same Tuesday, the president of the Xunta de Galicia, Alfonso Rueda, visited the factory to give his support to this initiative.

The new Doblò is available in two lengths and three different configurations (Van, Crew Cab and Combi). In addition, it incorporates Magic Features, including a 0.5 cubic meter load increase or a five-inch digital rearview mirror, among others.

This version is offered with two diesel engines: a 1.5-liter 100-horsepower manual transmission and a 1.5-liter 130-horsepower eight-speed manual and automatic transmission. In addition, you can also mount a mechanics of 1.2 liters of gasoline of 110 horses.

The electric version is equipped with a 100-kilowatt (135-horsepower) electric drive and a 50-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery, with more than 280 kilometers of autonomy in the WLTP cycle. The Quick Charge Mode of up to 100 kilowatts allows 80% of the battery to be charged in direct current in 30 minutes.

The introduction of the battery does not imply any structural change to the vehicle, since it is available in the same dimensions, characteristics and configurations of the Van version as its combustion counterparts.
