Alberto Núñez Feijóo returned to Valencia yesterday, a city that he has visited a lot in recent months, to take a walk through the Fallas and to once again show his strong support for his candidates for the Generalitat and the City Council, Carlos Mazón and María José Catalá. "I hope to return next year as Prime Minister," he said after also stressing that he has all the expectations "to win in the Valencian Community", key autonomy in the 28M for the PP and also for the PSOE.
The same day that Ciudadanos confirmed his total decomposition in Alicante, the leader of the PP showed his optimism before the electoral appointment, although he warned that it was very difficult for him to "get four absolute majorities" to govern the Xunta de Galicia.
"Our polls tell us that yes, there will probably be a change but, I insist, it has been very difficult for me to obtain four absolute majorities and the majorities are not confirmed until the electoral count," he warned.
In the PP they have assumed that conquering the Valencian Community and the city of Valencia on 28M would be their great electoral "success", since they would snatch the greatest autonomy from the PSOE chaired by a socialist, Ximo Puig, with the support of Compromís and Unides Podem. It would be, they add, the definitive step to wrest their territorial power in Spain from the Socialists and to better prepare the battle for the presidency of the Government in the elections scheduled for the end of the year.
On his tour of the city, Feijóo visited the Falla Convento Jerusalén-Matemático Marzal, a place he entered after Vox leaders in Valencia abandoned their particular visit, and later went to the balcony of the Valencia City Hall, epicenter of the "mascletaes" that go off every day of Fallas at 2:00 p.m. There he was seduced by all those who asked to take a selfie with him; only the actor from Castellón Miguel Ángel Silvestre achieved more attention.
In addition, he was given the "honor" of pressing "play" on the sound equipment that turns on the music that is heard through the speakers in the immense Plaza del Ayuntamiento, through which a Valencian pasodoble sounded, followed by the song ' Tobogan' from the Valencian group Zoo.
