Feijóo rules out the motion of no confidence because it would only whitewash what Sánchez is doing

There will be no motion of no confidence supported by the PP, no matter how much the president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, and the president of Ciudadanos, Inés Arrimadas, who since last Friday have called on the popular leader to support their initiatives, which have different approaches . There will be no vote of no confidence, at least with the votes of the PP, because the only thing it would do is strengthen Pedro Sánchez and "whitewash what he is doing."

In a radio interview, the president of the PP expressed it emphatically. "I am not going to reinforce a parliamentary victory for Sánchez, because it harms my country," he assured. This Vox will not do it with an unknown candidate or with Abascal as a starter. If the PP presents it, it will vote "no" and will dedicate itself to explaining throughout Spain, he said, that "the motion of censure against Sánchez corresponds to all Spaniards, not 350", referring to the deputies, and it must be voted on "in the ballot boxes that will be placed throughout Spain on May 28, and not in the only ballot box where we are going to lose it", which is the one in which it would be placed in Congress to vote on a motion of no confidence in Sánchez.

Núñez Feijóo stated that he had been in contact with all the "small parties" and not one of them would support one of the motions of censure that is being talked about, that of Abascal and that of Arrimadas, which makes no sense, in his opinion, strategically , a movement that "would strengthen the government and whitewash what it is doing."

He is not going to present a motion of censure or support one that is presented "to look good", or to be called a "bullfighter in a bullring". According to Feijóo "I care about Spain, not looking good, and I have left everything to try to evict the worst government, and I am not going to do anything that distracts me from that objective," he said on EsRadio, with a committed Federico Jiménez Losantos in which the popular leader supports the motion of censure raised by Abascal. "I am not going to do anything that does not serve to put an end to all the outrages that Sánchez has done."

Alberto Núñez Feijóo, for this reason, calls for general elections, "and I will not tire of asking for them," he said, because he believes that what the Prime Minister is doing "with sedition, with embezzlement or with the Constitutional Court" deserves the the greatest disapproval, but not that Sánchez emerges strengthened in Congress, with a very considerable majority endorsing what he has done. A president of the Government who "is making a despotic exercise of power", he stressed, installed in "a caciquismo inappropriate for a democracy" in the way in which he has behaved when repealing the crime of sedition and a reduction in the crime of embezzlement.

Some legislative modifications, stressed the president of the PP, which are made "at the request of the independentistas" and are made "in the country with the greatest risk of national fracture" that will have "the most lax legislation" to defend the structure of the state and the Constitution, in addition to what has been done, he said, "prostituting the legislative technique", even to "politicize the judicial power", as has happened now with the reform for the election of the magistrates of the Constitutional Court.

Because he considers that all this is very serious, the leader of the PP does not believe in the motion of no confidence, but in the general elections, and if Sánchez does not call them, the good thing, he said, is that there are elections throughout Spain on the 28th of May, in reference to the municipal and regional elections in the majority of the autonomous communities, which are "an opportunity that we cannot miss".

These are elections, said the president of the PP, which have "relatively important relevance", and for this reason he will dedicate himself to touring all of Spain, from now to then, explaining all this that has happened, what the Government is doing, but also what the PP proposes, not only in these matters, but also in economic and fiscal matters.

Alberto Núñez Feijóo also said the laws that he will repeal, the democratic memory law, because it is "the memory of Bildu", the Celá Law, the Trans Law, the animal welfare law or the reforms of the Penal Code in relation to rebellion and sedition. However, and despite the insistence of Jiménez Losantos that the PP must repeal the law on gender violence, Feijóo did not agree to its repeal, considering that it is not "pernicious" as the director of the radio program said. Feijóo insisted that there are "many deaths from sexist violence."
