Feijóo recovers former minister Gerardo Camps for his executive and appoints three more Valencians

The national leadership of the Popular Party will approve today new appointments in its national structure with the aim of completing the organization chart of the party. Among these new designations of the so-called third step, the return to the front line of the former economic vice president and former Minister of Finance, Gerardo Camps, who will be in charge of the Social Sustainability area, within the Vice-secretary of Social Policies, directed by Carmen Navarro.

Gerardo Camps was one of the strong men of the governments of Francisco Camps and held the second vice presidency. He was the head of economics of the regional Executive.

The national deputy and number one of the popular in the last generals, Belén Hoyo, who will be in charge of the Affiliations area within the Vice-secretary of Territorial Organization, also enters the direction. Hoyo, a person who was very close to Pablo Casado for years, was one of the first to distance himself from the previous leader of the PP in the crisis that ended up forcing her resignation.

The other two appointments are those of Senator Vicente Martínez who will be in charge of Circular Economy and the Alicante deputy in Congress, Agustín Almodóbar, in the Tourism area; both dependent on the Vice-Secretariat of Economy directed by Juan Bravo.

These four Valencian names are part of an extensive list of designations where, for example, nine leaders linked to the Galician PP, seven to the Andalusian or eight to the PP of Castilla y León appear, not to mention the over-representation of Madrid.

With the appointments of this third step, they explain in the PP, they "intend to continue strengthening their teams for the coming months, at a time of special importance for the country."
