Feijóo promises to reform the 'only yes is yes' law if Sánchez does not do so

The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has promised to reform the Comprehensive Law on Sexual Freedom, better known as the law of only yes is yes, promoted by the Ministry of Equality and which has allowed the downward revision of sentences against sexual offenders, if the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, did not do it before.

Coinciding with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls, Feijóo has issued a video message on social networks in which he has called on the Government to rectify, as it has done on other occasions, but it has gone further there he already promised to do it if Sánchez does not do it.

"Whoever makes a mistake has to accept it and correct it," warns the popular leader, in whose opinion, "the law that has allowed dozens of convictions of sexual offenders to be revised downward already supposes irreparable damage." For this reason, Feijóo believes that "at least it must be prevented from continuing to happen in the future", and in this sense, he believes that the rule "must be changed". "If Sánchez does not do it, you have my word that I will do it," he assures.

In addition, the PP used its official Twitter profile to underline that it continues to claim "feminism with facts", based on "consensus and responsibility to end this scourge". “We have struggled a lot to get here, and we ask the Government to immediately rectify the ‘Law of only yes is yes,'” he remarked.

The main opposition party accompanied its text with a video in which a woman is seen running through a park, with an 'off' voice indicating that, "for decades, all the governments in Spain of the PP and the PSOE They made progress in the fight against gender violence.”

“And each step we took made us a better country, committed and a pioneer against a scourge that must be eradicated. This year, for the first time on November 25, we are going to have to regret having gone back", lamented the PP in this 'spot' accompanied by press clippings about what happened in recent times around the law of only yes it is Yes.
