Feijóo offers Sánchez to address the situation and summons him to a debate in the Senate

If the PSOE is dedicated to opposing the PP, it will be the PP who takes the initiative, who presents proposals, "which is what the Government should do." This is the conclusion of Alberto Núñez Feijóo, who at the beginning of the political term, in Galicia, in the absence of that initiative, proposed yesterday, "formally" that Pedro Sánchez appear in the Senate, -precisely where the president of the PP has a seat-, although Feijóo gave another argument for his request, to start a "serene and calm debate", with the autonomous communities, it would also be necessary to involve the municipalities, to address the difficult situation facing Spain, which is aggravated "with the frivolous policies of inexperienced rulers ".

It is about, said Feijóo, "talking about the problems of Spain in the territorial chamber", which is what it is for. "Let's appear and talk," urged the president of the PP. That the Government stop "delivering to Bildu" and that "talk to us, that we want to help you, if he leaves us". And if for that Sánchez must continue insulting him, he said, let him do it, but let him entrust it to only one minister "and let the others get to work."

Feijóo offered Sánchez to really address, and in a serious way, "the moment of difficulty" that Spain is going through, "as the Government already admits. He offers himself to: "stop raising taxes and lower them. For that, Mr. Sánchez, here I am"; "to reduce the Ministries, Mr. Sánchez, here I am", "To draw up an energy plan that makes savings compatible and guarantee the productive sector, Mr. Sánchez, here I am", to modify the article 49 of the Constitution, on disability, although he was wrong and spoke of 47; to make an extraordinary MIR to help public health overcome the difficulties it is going through, to talk about national security, "so that he can explain his foreign policy to me , and what is happening in Algeria, what France and Italy are taking advantage of, Mr. Sánchez, here I am", to "guarantee linguistic cordiality, Mr. Sánchez, here I am, and to guarantee the independence of Justice, Mr. Sánchez, here I am", said the president of the PP.

The start of the political course in Cotobade (Pontevedra), where he has attended for many years as president of Galicia, was not only a way of launching political messages that will be repeated until the municipal elections, but also a way of counteracting the PSOE campaign , defined in its new strategy, to insist on the lack of leadership of the PP, the weakness of the figure of Feijóo, and the shadow cast by the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso.

And for this, what better than the presence of the ruling PP barons: Juanma Moreno (Andalusia), Alfonso Rueda (Galicia), Isabel Díaz Ayuso (Madrid), Alfonso Fernández Mañueco (Castilla y León and Fernando López Miras (Murcia)) A presence that was not necessary They had no role in the act, except to be there supporting their leader, the same as a good part of the popular leadership, sending the unspoken message that Feijóo is their unquestionable leader. The former president of the Government and of the PP, Mariano Rajoy, whom he continues to support without fissures, also spoke with his presence.

Of them, only the Galician president, Alfonso Rueda, spoke, who underlined the "unity of the party" and defended that the autonomous presidents, as has happened with the energy decree, have different aspirations, and it is understood that "we can compete, that we talk about it, but we are all responsible governments". A clear response to the PSOE campaign that wants to see the idea that Díaz Ayuso rules the PP, or that Feijóo is weak because the Madrid president maintains a different position from that of other regional governments.

Feijóo also referred to this, stressing that "They try to divide us with insults", but he wants them not to be entertained by this, before the electoral appointments this year, with the municipal and regional ones. "I am not taking the exam this year, although with this government anyone knows," said the PP leader. "That is why he asked them for" work, alternative positions and political education ".

Three requirements for their own future: "I do not aspire to be president of the Government by discarding, because the Spaniards can no longer with this government. I want to win the elections on their own merits, with concrete projects", and in this the regional presidents have an important role, making their own projects, and that the one chosen for Spain is the best, and after showing that it can be carried out, because they have done it in the autonomies.

Feijóo wants something else: "He does not give up on obtaining a sufficient majority of Spaniards who support our project, a resounding majority." And above all, the leader of the PP does not give up "any vote, nor the thousands of votes from the left, who are not going to vote for the left this time, nor those who stopped voting for the PP and today know that the PP is the only alternative."

To those who are aware that "common progress is above ideology, and even more so at the moment, and that the general interest is above rigging, even if it means leaving the Government", in a very indirect way of asking Sánchez his resignation or to call general elections.

What the PP and Alberto Núñez Feijóo offer all those Spaniards is "calm in politics", which in his opinion is essential and he considers that at this time "the dilemma is between those who are dedicated to agitating and those of us who aspire to calm our country. For this reason, his watchword will continue to be what it has been until now, he said, "moderation."
