The president of the PP, assured, in a tweet published after the conversation with the lehendakari, that he considers that the call has been "profitable for the present and the future of the Basque Country and the rest of Spain", and that he plans to maintain contacts like this with other regional presidents, the ones he wants, as well as with the political formations, with a view to the investiture.
The lehendakari also considered the interview useful, although he ignored the investiture, pointing out that this is something that Feijóo must discuss with the PNV officials, according to sources from the Lehendakaritza.
This morning, Alberto Núñez Feijóo revealed, during the press conference he offered in Congress, after his interview with Sánchez, that Íñigo Urkullu had sent him a WhatsApp message on Tuesday, in which he invited him to a telephone conversation that same afternoon. , but that he had not seen until very late, at which time he responded and they agreed to talk today.
The lehendakari affirmed on Tuesday, before Feijóo's announcement to hold meetings with the regional presidents, that "it corresponds to the parties" and "not to the regional presidents", to speak at this time with the candidate for the presidency of the Government, although he clarified that he will never refuse "to speak with Feijóo or with anyone".
After that, he sent the message to the president of the PP that has materialized in a telephone conversation of half an hour on the afternoon of this Wednesday. Urkullu and Feijóo maintain a very good relationship from the time when they were both regional presidents.
Also yesterday, the president of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Pere Aragonés, made it known that he did not intend to meet with the leader of the PP and candidate for the presidency of the Government, to discuss the investiture.
