In this sunrise in the Sau swamp, which we can admire in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia, the characteristic fog of the Osona region is combined with lenticular clouds.
Lenticular clouds are so called because they are lentil-shaped, as their name indicates, or there are also those who see them as a saucer or converging lens.
Lenticular clouds are stationary and form mostly at high altitudes in mountainous areas and isolated from other clouds. Among the mountaineers they are considered an omen of change of time.
In the sky we can also get to see the candilazo. As part of the phenomenon of scattering of sunlight, in the morning hours when the sun is closest to the horizon, the light that reaches Earth is soft tones between red and orange.
In some areas, the popular "Pubilla de la Plana de Vic", that is, the Osona fog, is also known as "baixa joke". Basically, it's when a sea of fog comes down and covers everything.
It must be borne in mind that the Osona region is the place in Spain with the most foggy days, around a hundred a year.
