The General Directorate for Competition of the European Union has given the go-ahead for the integration of Air Nostrum with the Irish company CityJet. As sources from the Valencian company explained in a statement, when this agreement is signed, through which both companies will be able to continue to operate as independent entities, "the union will mean the creation of the most important European holding company for regional airlines."

The integration of the two companies will generate a series of important synergies by combining the respective resources in aircraft (together there are currently 70 units), crews and support and maintenance services.
