The Generalitat has launched a campaign in the last hours to promote the territory with the Barça brand, which is the protagonist of a video where historical and current images of the Barcelona entity are intermingled with prominent enclaves of Catalonia. Under the slogan Feel the colors (feel the colors), the Government intends to "explain the emotional bond between the club and the Catalan destination", a strategy that RCD Espanyol has not liked.
In the parakeet club it has not been good that the blue and white colors for the promotion were ignored, as well as those of "thousands of clubs" that make up the sports fabric of Catalonia. For this reason, Espanyol has responded to the Generalitat with an alternative video that presents the same format but that mentions other institutions such as Joventut de Badalona, Bàsquet Manresa, the UE Santboiana and CE Sabadell. No reference to Barça appears in this version.
"Colors, our colors. Inseparable from one another. Colors that represent a feeling. La Força d'un sentiment. From our family. White in heart, blue in spirit as a tribute to our land, the land of Espanyol and thousands of clubs, millions of fans, each one with their own colors. Colors that tell us about a journey through a diverse and incredible land", the video created by Espanyol begins.
In the audiovisual piece, of just over a minute, you can see mainly images of the city of Barcelona and parakeet fans, as well as moments from the past of the centenary Spanish entity. In the last seconds of the video, different sports clubs are mentioned, not just football, and several players from the current Espanyol squad are shown, such as Braithwaite, Joselu, Puado, Vini Souza and captain Darder.
