Espanyol makes the signing of Joselu official

Goal and height. That is what Espanyol wins with Joselu Mato, who will be presented this Monday at the Juan Segura Palomares Auditorium of the RCDE Stadium after the parakeet club made the signing official this morning. The striker, who has passed the relevant medical check-up at the Corachán Clinic, signs for three seasons.

The Galician (32 years old), a striker who relates very well to the goal, arrives with the letter of freedom from the relegated Alavés to complement the forward of Diego Martínez's team, in which Raúl de Tomás is a fixture. This last season he has been the seventh top scorer in the category after adding 14 goals. In addition, Joselu is a specialist in the aerial game, a facet in which he will stand out even more in a team without great references in this aspect.

The Celta de Vigo academy player has led the statistics for duels won in La Liga, with 7.7 per game, well ahead of Lucas Torró (4) and Enes Ünal (4). Months ago the player and the club had an agreement, but it has not been until now when the blue and white entity has made the operation official.

Joselu has been a real soccer globetrotter. He has played in German football (Hannover, Hoffenheim and Eintracht Frankfurt) and English (Stoke City and Newcastle). From Newcastle he came to Alavés, where he has scored 36 goals in the last three seasons.
