ERC proposes to disapprove the Collboni march of the Colau government

ERC wants to put on record, in the municipal plenary session of the Barcelona City Council that will be held next Friday, that "the constant divisions of commons and PSC are harming the citizens of Barcelona." For this reason, the Republicans have presented a motion to disapprove the departure of the already former first deputy mayor, the socialist Jaume Collboni, who left the City Council to dedicate himself exclusively to the candidacy for mayor of Barcelona.

"The mandate may be ending, but it has not ended, and Barcelona and the governorship of its City Council do not deserve that those who govern it serve as a second course," said the spokesman for the ERC group, Jordi Coronas, to justify the initiative.

"The constant disputes are seriously harming the city", added the councilor, who cited a series of very recent examples of dissent between government partners: the Eixample Use Plan, the concession clauses in kiosks, the reform of the Ronda de Sant Antoni or the rupture of the twinning between the cities of Barcelona and Tel Aviv.

ERC also asks that the plenary session of the City Council regret "the internal divisions that make it impossible to reach great agreements" and demands that the common and socialists "govern and respect the institution and the citizenship to which they owe themselves."

ERC wants the plenary to disapprove the departure of Jaume Collboni as first deputy mayor so that, as Collboni himself explained, he can devote himself to campaigning. “If the objective is to campaign, perhaps they will all leave the city government. It does not make sense that any necessary input for the city implies this mess”, Coronas stated.
