Environmental activists throw a cake in the face of the director of Ryanair

The CEO of the Irish airline Ryanair, Michael O'Leary, received this Thursday in Brussels the impact of a cream pie in the face thrown by environmental activists, shouting "stop polluting with your planes."

O'Leary was preparing to make a statement to the press in front of the European Commission (EC) headquarters, when two activists threw a cake in his face while saying "welcome to Belgium".

"They had never received me so well. Unfortunately they were environmentalists and the cream was artificial. I invite the passengers to come to Ireland, where the cream is better," O'Leary ironized before the cameras, still with traces of cream on his face .

The Belgian pilots of the airline based at Charleroi airport will go on strike for the fourth time in two months on September 14 and 15, in search of better salaries and conditions, as announced by the CNE and ACV Puls unions.

The announcement by the Francophone and Flemish unions came as O'Leary was already in Brussels for the press conference.
