'Embotona't', the first inclusive family festival to be held this June in Poble Espanyol

Embotona't, the first inclusive family festival of music and performing arts, arrives in Barcelona. It is an initiative of El Botó Màgic, a storytelling company made up of people with intellectual disabilities, which will be held on June 11 in Poble Espanyol.

The project was born from the desire to make society aware of the importance of promoting an accessible and inclusive culture for all. For this, the festival has musical performances, workshops, food trucks and other cultural proposals.

Among the most outstanding performances of the festival is that of Dàmaris Gelabert, pedagogue, music therapist and author of children's songs. The musical entertainment group Xiula, the Reggae per Xics group and the Clams band will also take to the stage.

The solidarity festival will also feature the cultural proposals of El Botó Màgic, Vivim del Cuentu, El Gecko con Botas, Els Astres, Anna Gusó and Joana Bruna, Nexe Fundació or Noemí Font.

El Botó Màgic is the storytelling company made up of people with intellectual disabilities from the occupational workshops of the ASPASIM Foundation. This foundation is the non-profit entity that is carrying out this project.

The patron of the ASPASIM Foundation, Guillermo Briones, explains that the name of the festival (Abróchate in Catalan) refers to "an act as daily as fastening a button", which can be "very difficult or even impossible for people with disabilities".

Tickets are available from today, February 15, through the festival's website.
