Elon Musk launches GigaBier, his own exclusive and exorbitantly priced beer

Elon Musk is undoubtedly a businessman who does not like to go unnoticed. In addition to managing his own companies, Tesla and SpaceX, among others, he has always wanted to stand out with extravagant products. First it was a flamethrower, then his own tequila (Teslaquila) and even some $70,000 shorts. His latest project has been to create his own beer, GigaBier, which emulates the shape of his most anticipated car, the Tesla Cybertruck.

It is a special edition that will only be on sale in Europe (for now) and for a limited period of time. If Musk has surprised with the distribution of this product —which has nothing to do with cars and spaceships, his specialty—, his price has done so even more: 89 euros per liter (almost 30 euros per bottle).

As indicated on the website, where you can already buy the beer, Tesla GigaBier is designed "to emulate the shape of Cybertruck", while honoring "the 500-year tradition of German Reinheitsgebot brewing". It is a Pilsner-style beer brewed in Berlin and has notes of citrus, bergamot and sweet fruits.

A limited edition that has among its ingredients water, malted barley, and yeast, and that has been manufactured by Cyberhops, a Berlin company specialized in the production of craft beers. Each bottle features an elegant and futuristic design, made of shiny black glass. The pack, which comes in a seamless black sleeve with a glow-in-the-dark "Giga" watermark, contains three bottles.

The product, in particular, is not far from being a conventional German beer. It is a collector's item, exclusive, for the most fanatics. It is not the only invention of the company. A few years ago, Musk released a flamethrower that he swept in sales, as well as $70,000 shorts, bottles of tequila he dubbed Teslaquila and other merchandising. Much more than cars and spaceships.
