Alexia Putellas has been one of the biggest icons of women's football for years. Winner of the Ballon d'Or on two occasions (2021 and 2022), the captain of FC Barcelona has become the reference that inspires new generations of boys and girls around the world. She has always been committed to the fight for gender equality in sports and this Wednesday she took another step forward by presenting Eleven, the foundation with which she wants to help improve the lives of more than 300 girls around the world who are in a situation of vulnerability.

At Casa Seat Alexia explained how the idea of ​​creating this organization came about: “It started during my worst professional and personal moment, when I broke my knee. I found myself in a situation in which I didn't know how to manage these emotions and when I got my head together I began to give shape to this project that had always been on my mind."

A project that will start in Mollet with a hundred girls and will later extend to Latin America and which is considered just “a vehicle.” “The protagonists are these girls in situations that, thanks to the family and the stability I have had, I have not had to suffer.”

Alexia Putellas ends her contract with FC Barcelona on June 30 and it has not yet been made official whether she will renew.
