After a disappointing season, without titles and out of the positions that give access to the Champions League, Liverpool have taken their checkbook out very soon in the transfer market. After acquiring the services of midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, in exchange for 42 million, the reds announced this Sunday the hiring of Dominik Szoboszlai for 70 million.

The Hungarian is so far the most expensive signing in the Premier League, only equaled by the 70 million that Arsenal also paid Chelsea for Kai Havertz, and is the second with the highest price so far in the market, only surpassed for 103 million plus 30% in variables that Real Madrid agreed to pay Borussia Dortmund for the Englishman Jude Bellingham.

The 22-year-old midfielder arrives from RB Leipzig, where he has played for the last two years, after excelling in Austrian football, and signs until 2028. "The last three or four days have not been easy, they have been very long, but in the end I'm here", indicated the man born in Székesfehérvár as a Liverpool player.

"I'm happy and I can't wait to start playing. It's a historic club, with great players and a great coach. For me it's perfect to take the next step in a team like this," he praised the Anfield road club and its coach, Jürgen Klopp, the Magyar, who last season played a total of 46 games in which he scored 10 goals and distributed 13 assists.

The midfielder's career began at Austrian Liefering, from where he made the leap to RB Salzburg, with whom he played 83 games and scored 26 goals. In January 2021 he signed for RB Leipzig and with the Germans he played 91 games, scored 22 goals and provided 20 assists. During his time in Germany he won two German Cups. In addition, he is an international with Hungary, with whom he has played 32 games and scored seven goals. With Liverpool he will wear the number '8'.
