Either he imposes his style, or he has to suffer

The importance of the Barcelona youth academy is evident. Not only in terms of the ability to establish a methodology for the development of a style of play, but also because of the category and importance of the players that emerge from it. But it is also true that all these young people who reach the first team and who already show extraordinary football ability at an early age need a logical evolution so that they do not remain in bloom for one day.

It has been indicated many times, and in this aspect I maintain my doubts, whether it is better for a player who should be a starter in a winning team to first show his abilities in other teams that guarantee him continuity in ownership in First or Second or and to debut directly with the Barça first team. Following this last route in many cases can be counterproductive if the ideal habitat for it is not generated. The journey can cause many penances in the passage of time and also certain confusions in this world, in which extraordinary offers cannot exist for anything and we already know that today patience is not one of the virtues of society.

On the other hand, the transfer option is not as simple as it may seem. Barça fans know, and experience has shown it, that few youth players in the world of football can have the technique, the vision of the play or the capacity for association as those who come out of the Barça youth system. Because in order to sublimate this associative game, kids with certain and very pronounced virtues are sought. And of course, when recruiting requires these premises, normally along the way you have to give up others. And that means that these types of players are neither physical prodigies, nor powerful players when retreating, nor specialists in dividing the ball, especially when you have to run towards your own field. Therefore, any transfer must consider the possibility of joining a team whose playing style protects them.

A clear example of what I am explaining was Wednesday's match, in which a very poor Shakhtar Donetsk during the first half was superior to Barcelona in the second.

We can already say that Barcelona has overcome the group stage and it has surely done so with ease because it has had no renowned rivals, not even physically powerful rivals. In recent years in which he has encountered rivals with these characteristics, he has had a bad time. Barcelona can aspire to many things, but if at any stage of the Champions League matches they fail to impose their style, they will have a bad time. It generates great players to establish a game system, but if it cannot impose this game system, it does not have great players.
