Edmundo Arrocet, ex-partner of María Teresa Campos, says goodbye to the presenter: "I never imagined it"

This morning the world of journalism woke up with sad news. María Teresa Campos has died at the age of 82 after spending a few days in the Fundación Jiménez Díaz Hospital in Madrid after suffering severe respiratory failure.

Shortly after, she was transferred to the La Paz funeral home, located in the town of Tres Cantos, in Madrid. There she is receiving the last goodbye from family and close friends. "She was fantastic and the best grandmother in the world. We have been by her side at all times and we have all been able to say goodbye to her very well. For me, I am proud of the grandmother I have had," said Alejandra Rubio.

And although there are many who have gone to the funeral chapel to say goodbye to María Teresa Campos, those who have not been able to, have not hesitated to talk about her and say goodbye on television sets. Edmundo 'Mustache' Arrocet, the presenter's last couple, has surprised through a call to the Espejo Público program.

“I lived with her for six years and was very happy. There were interruptions from other people, but well, the truth is that it has been a loss for all of us. And, above all, for the family and all the people who loved her. We are a little sad," the comedian began to relate.

But that was not all. Among other things, he has explained how he found out about the death of the communicator. "I am in Latin America and I never imagined it. My representative calls me this morning to tell me that she is no longer with us," she assured.

In addition, he has put on the table the surprise that he has taken when he found out: "I did not know that it was so bad because I had been away for a while. I am in the field and there is no connection with television. The last time I spoke with her was the day that I said goodbye to her and went to Marbella, that was the last time we spoke".

Despite the nice words he was expressing for his ex-partner, 'Mustache' Arrocet wanted to send the odd dart. The comedian has once again ensured that he said goodbye to her in person and not through a message as they claimed.

“It wasn't a WhatsApp at all. There was a lot of communication between us and the rest are Chinese inventions,” he wanted to make clear. "They said that it was an infamous lie and from there many pages were filled," she added.
