Drought does not affect rivers of fog

It is not so common for fog to reach the south of the Osona region, however, Tona and the upper part of the Congost River become a sea of thick fog these autumn days, as we can see in these images in Las Photos de the Readers of La Vanguardia.

I have captured the snapshots from Muntanyola, with Montseny in the background. It is clear that, although the rivers this autumn still flow with less water than usual due to the persistent drought, on the other hand, the rivers of fog remain as abundant as ever in the Osona region.

It is not in vain that we are in the area of Spain with the most days a year, at least a hundred, with this meteorological phenomenon that covers the entire landscape. In fact, in Osona it goes by several names, from the Pubilla de la Plana de Vic to the joke baixa.

If the meteorological phenomenon gives a vision of 1 km or less, it is considered fog; and if it allows you to see more than 1 km, the phenomenon is fog.

In the accelerated video that we can see below you can see the fog descending like a large river, heading towards the south of the Osona region.
