Donkey Canaglia closes all its stores after the deadly fire in its restaurant in Madrid

The Burro Canaglia chain has closed all its franchise stores, including the one on Calle Hernán Cortés 28 in Santander, where the City Council is pending an inspection that, in principle, it was going to carry out yesterday, Wednesday, but has not been able to be carried out for this reason.

This has been reported by the Santander City Council, which is pending to be able to set the day and time to have access to the premises and carry out the corresponding inspection, after a fire was registered last Friday in the establishment of the chain of the Plaza de Manuel Becerra in Madrid in which two people lost their lives and another twelve were injured, reports Europa Press.

This, the Santander Fire Service has tried to carry out an inspection of the premises, but it was closed. Put in contact with a person in charge of the company, he confirmed that they had given an order to close all the franchise premises and that they were making themselves available to coordinate the inspection visit.

The Santander establishment has a license to operate as a café-bar with a kitchen for a maximum capacity of 149 people indoors and has two exits and doors that open to the outside.

In June 2022, the City Council granted a license for the conditioning of the premises under the technical direction of an architect.
