"In view of these elements, it has been decided to put an end to Corinne Diacre's mission as head of the women's team," the FFF said in a statement.
Diacre took over after France lost in the quarter-finals of the Euros and has since managed to guide the team to the semi-finals of the 2022 edition, the team's greatest achievement in continental competition. Now, a commission will be in charge of finding a replacement with an eye on the appointment in Australia and New Zealand between July 20 and August 20.
The demands of the French soccer players are part of a long list of protests that the players of various teams have turned against their respective federations in recent months. One of those protest movements is the one led by 15 of the players of the Spanish team since last September.

"We have just seen the players from Canada, from Colombia, from the USA... It is a theme that is being repeated a lot. The players cannot focus their total energy on simply performing, but they have to be aware of other things or improvements. The player, thus, cannot be 100% focused or have her energy to perform, and that is what has to stop happening. It is exhausting to have to constantly be demanding improvements to be able to perform better", added the soccer player from Mollet del Vallès.
